Fur Better
Their Love Never Changed. Sometimes Their Circumstances Do.
01
WHY WE EXIST
For many older adults, a dog is more than a pet. They are family, routine, comfort, and constant companionship. When circumstances change, even a manageable challenge can put that relationship under strain. We believe those moments shouldn't have to mean losing the bond that matters so much.
02
WHAT FUR BETTER TOGETHER DOES
Fur Better Together steps in when a financial or practical challenge makes caring for a beloved dog more difficult. By working to remove those barriers, we support older adults in continuing as their dog’s primary caregiver-providing the love, care, and companionship that have always been theirs to give.
HOW WE HELP
A Little Support Can Make All the Difference.
01
CARE & WELLNESS
Support with veterinary care, medications, necessary dental care, health-related grooming, and other essential needs.
02
PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Help with transportation, community connections, and planning ahead for a dog's future.
BETTER TOGETHER
It Takes a Community to Keep Them Together.
Sometimes the right support comes from more than one place. Fur Better Together connects people, resources, and local partners to help older adults overcome the challenges that can make caring for their dogs more difficult.
"A little support can mean more time, more memories, and more ordinary days together. Those ordinary days are everything".
